Meet Dave

Dave Bybee founded Accel CFO in 2018 and serves as the firm’s Principal Consultant. Based in Phoenix, Accel CFO delivers accounting, finance, and technology strategy and leadership to growing small to mid-market businesses and private investors.

Dave brings more than two decades of senior finance, accounting, and IT leadership experience across the aftermarket automotive, manufacturing, advertising, and software sectors. In roles including CFO, VP of Finance, Controller, and FP&A Director, he has served as the finance leader for companies with $10M to $950M in annual revenue. He has led diligence and transaction support for multiple successful buy- and sell-side acquisitions with owner-operated and private equity-sponsored businesses.

Dave is passionate about partnering with owners and leadership teams to modernize and transform financial operations. By combining deep accounting and finance expertise with practical application of AI, workflow automation, and analytics, he enables organizations to identify and capture measurable productivity gains and enterprise value across finance and back-office functions.

Dave earned his MBA with a concentration in Finance from Northern Arizona University’s W. A. Franke College of Business in 2002. He lives in Phoenix with his wife of more than 20 years and enjoys family time, golf, hiking, and competitive bass fishing.
