Meet Dave

Dave Bybee founded Accel CFO in 2018 and is the firm’s Principal Consultant, based in the Phoenix area. Accel CFO provides accounting, finance, and technology consulting and support services to growing, small to mid-market businesses, and private investors.

Dave brings more than 17 years of senior finance, accounting, and IT leadership experience with businesses across multiple industries, ranging from $5 million to $950 million in revenues. Prior to founding Accel CFO, he served as VP of Financial Operations for TouchPoint Promotions, a big-three rebate and incentive promotions business. In 2017 Dave guided TouchPoint through a successful sale to Blackhawk Network (NASDAQ: HAWK).

Dave has supported more than twenty successful buy and sell-side acquisitions with closely held and top tier private equity-sponsored businesses. Prior to TouchPoint, he served in the roles of Chief Financial Officer, Controller, and Assoc. Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis in the medical and multi-location aftermarket automotive segments.

Dave's true passion is partnering with owners of small and mid-market companies, enabling them to scale and grow the value of their businesses. With a focus on leveraging advanced workflow, automation, and analysis technologies, along with his foundation of accounting and finance leadership experience, Dave is able to guide business owners and their teams to identify and unlock significant productivity and value opportunities across their financial operations and back offices.

Dave earned his MBA with a concentration in Finance from Northern Arizona University’s W. A. Franke College of Business in 2002. He resides in Phoenix with his wife of more than 22 years, Setasha. In his free time Dave enjoys family time, golf, hiking the Grand Canyon, and bass fishing.
